Mornings at the Palazzo start quietly. The dust has truly settled from the day before and the golden morning light streams through the windows like something out of a painting. I always take a slow walk through the rooms, pausing to admire the work the artisans of the past created and this morning it was the travi and travetti ceilings (timber ceilings to you and me) - in a few places they have been painted over but we plan on stripping that off and to reveal the true beauty of the original ches
