The Rufous Hummingbirds are back! These incredible pollinators migrate between Alaska and Mexico every year, returning North in the summer to breed. We here at the AWCC partner with US Fish and Wildlife each year to band these birds at the sanctuary. This helps us gather data about their whereabouts and the incredible journey they make.
