Marvel just retconned 2 major things from Thor’s last MCU appearance
Chris Hemsworth is back as Thor in Avengers: Doomsday, and Marvel has used his return to retcon two major aspects of his last appearance. The first look at the god of thunder's role has now been revealed thanks to a Thor-centric Doomsday trailer playing exclusively in theaters before Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Some might consider it one of the worst Marvel movies to date, but "Thor: The Dark World" is not without its moments, particularly one added at the last minute that contributed to the growing cohesion in the franchise that was being built like a Russian nesting doll.
As much as Marvel's comics informed Cate Blanchett's appearance as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, she primarily drew inspiration from another source entirely.
A decade later and MCU fans still believe that this particular Thor nemesis is one of Marvel's worst cinematic villains.
