The January transfer window opens later this week and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all expected to be active in the market with big moves likely

Arsenal resisted a late fightback from Brighton on Saturday to keep hold of first place in the Premier League, but Manchester City and Aston Villa are in hot pursuit. It is a three-way fight at the top with just three points separating first and third in the standings.

City won 2-1 at Nottingham Forest with Rayan Cherki grabbing a goal and an assist to briefly move top of the pile.

Fifteen wins in 17 matches in the Dutch league and are in the race to end up in the league phase's top 24 right now in the Champions League. Their only two wins in Europe this season came from a stunning 4-1 win at Liverpool away and a dominant 6-2 rout of Napoli at home. It's definitely a good season so far.
