In the Google vs Oracle appeal, a federal circuit court repealed the 2016 ruling that Google didn't owe Oracle anything for using Java in Android. Uh oh.

Oracle announced a language server tool for Java developers using Visual Studio Code to provide language-specific 'smarts' in the super-popular, open source-based, cross-platform code editor.

Oracle wants an appeals court to rule that Google's commercial use of Java in a market where Oracle was already competing was not fair use.
