The Jets have designated six players who will be inactive for today's final home game of the season against the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium, which will kick off shortly after 1 p.m. ET. The Jets' inactive list for the Patriots:

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn announced at his press conference that neither Tyrod Taylor nor Justin Fields will participate in the team’s first practice session of the week. Cook is the only other quarterback on either the active roster or the practice squad. Glenn has not named a starter for this Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

The Week 16 matchup for Tyrod Taylor and the New York Jets has them squaring off with the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 21. Taylor (limited participation in practice, groin) is on the Jets' injury report this week, but he does not currently have an injury designation for the game.

Brady Cook will get another start at quarterback for the Jets this week. Head coach Aaron Glenn announced that Cook will be in the starting lineup against the Saints on Sunday. Cook was 22-of-33 for 176 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions in last Sunday’s 48-20 loss to the Jaguars.

Fields, who has not played since Nov. 13, has been dealing with a knee injury since early December and is listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Taylor exited the Jets' Week 14 matchup against the Miami Dolphins in the first quarter due to a groin injury, which led New York to turn to Cook.

Now comes the scoreboard watching. The Patriots made quick work of the Jets on Sunday afternoon, dominating to the point that Drake Maye only played one drive in third quarter, to earn a 42-10 win in New Jersey.
