Nexstar says that it will pre-empt Jimmy Kimmel’s show from its ABC stations “for the foreseeable future” following his remarks about the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

The company cites comments made by the host that it deems "offensive and insensitive," not reflecting "the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities in which we are located," according to Andrew Alford, the President of Nexstar’s broadcasting division. He went on:

On Wednesday evening, David Muir was back doing what he does best: delivering the latest news and updates to the nation. However, it seems that this time, one major story was missed and viewers certainly weren't happy about it.

Week 2 of the NFL is here and features two Monday Night Football games. The doubleheader kicks off at 7 p.m. ET with the Buccaneers vs. Texans. The Chargers vs. Raiders follows that up at 10 p.m. ET.
