CLEVELAND, Ohio - We’re not talking big dollars here, but there’s a way to save a few bucks on Ohio license plates if you’re due to renew them over the next few weeks - renew by mail.

Ohio Gold plate customers who received the notification letter and renew prior to Dec. 29, will receive the current Ohio Pride license plate design that was implemented under Gov. Kasich.

There are a handful of express self-service kiosks in Northeast Ohio where drivers can renew their vehicle registrations and receive their stickers immediately.

Gov. Mike DeWine's new license plate design, "Sunrise in Ohio," is now available online at bmv.ohio.gov and at deputy registrar locations.

Replacement is a necessary part of life, as is the case with the Ohio Gold license plates, the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) reports.
