A Sacramento man suspected of shooting into the ABC10 television station's lobby has been arrested again, hours after he posted bail on Saturday, officials said. Jail records show he is now ineligible for bail.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento police are investigating a shooting at ABC10 that took place on Friday afternoon. The shots were fired from outside the building into the lobby. People were inside the building, but nobody was hurt.
The Sept. 17 shooting happened as officers were following up on a domestic-related investigation. A suspect was also killed by police.
A man was killed, three other adults were injured and a child narrowly escaped harm when a shooter fired into their vehicle on I-10 eastbound near the I-95 split, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said the suspect had sustained gunshot wounds to his body and had been taken to Northwestern Hospital in a stable condition. Multiple law enforcement and emergency vehicles — including Chicago police, Cook County sheriff's deputies, Illinois State Police and Chicago Fire Department crews — were on the scene.
Two teenagers are in critical condition after another teenager, who has since died, is suspected of opening fire in a Colorado high school, according to authorities. The suspected shooter has been identified as Desmond Holly, said Jacki Kelley, spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, during a Thursday, Sept. 11 news briefing.
All three died at the scene near Lincoln Middle School, and the incident appears to be domestic-related, according to police. Berwyn North School District 98 said in a statement Tuesday that none of the individuals killed were students at the school.
But school shootings spare no corner of the country, and Evergreen — a town of just 9,000 — became the latest to confront that grim reality. On Sept. 10, a 16-year-old suspect fired about 20 round s, mostly inside the school, in an attack that lasted roughly nine minutes and left two fellow students injured.
Two other officers were injured in the shooting in York County, and the person who fired on the officers was also dead, officials said.
