A historic winter storm is tearing across the United States, burying cities in snow and glazing highways in ice just as federal forecasters quietly switch on a new generation of artificial intelligence models.

National Weather Service said that snow is set to "taper off" in Connecticut on Jan. 26. Here's how much snow has accumulated in New London County.
