You can drag and drop files between folders, rename documents, organize your workspace, or even delete items — all directly from File Explorer.
Copy File Name Open Windows Explorer and click the file to select it. Press "F2" on your keyboard to select the name. This enables you to rename the file or copy the name.
If you need to rename multiple files in Windows 10 or Windows 11, don't do it one by one. Use this trick instead.
In Explorer if you hit F2 to rename a file Vista automatically selects the file name WITHOUT the extension, something that does not happen in XP.
