I created a temporary account with windows messenger and now can't figure how to clear the account and start over. I sign up a month ago but never wrote the password down and can't get it reset.

from what i've heard windows xp does come with msconfig. I'm not sure if that's strictly in the Home Edition or Professional too. Sorry though i can only tell you how to remove messenger completely ...
