US stocks fell slightly on Tuesday, as Wall Street tried to regroup after a tech-led slide in the final stretch of 2025.

Volume was higher on the Nasdaq exchange and lower on the New York Stock Exchange vs. Monday. On the Nasdaq exchange, falling stocks outpaced rising issues by nearly 4-to-3. But on the NYSE, winners slightly edged out losers.

The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq slipped Tuesday as the stock market reacted to Fed minutes, and silver and gold prices rebounded.
